Other birthdays

I meant to make a bigger deal out of this, but in the grand tradition of my family, I totally forgot. This blog turned one year old on April 11.

Also, I turned 27 years old on April 13. The Husbandlet gave me this lovely ring:

It has Ngaire's birthstone (ruby), the Husbandlet's (opal), and mine (diamond). I love it.

The blog, alas, got nothing.

Happy birthday to my Doppelganger! That's a gorgeous ring. What will you do when the next baby comes along though? You're going to wind up quite decked out in the bling. :)

Did he find it or have it made? Gorgeous!!!

I found it in an online auction (Loudfrog, not eBay) and sent the Husbandlet a pointedly hinting email. As he once said, "The only hint I take is a direct command." :)

Oh, and Jordana, I'm certainly not opposed to demanding further birthstone jewelry. :) The Husbandlet did suggest that I wait until we were done having babies to begin the collection process; I told him, "We're both in education. Probably ALL our babies will be born in July."

I assume it's silver? (I think I see a 925 mark in the picture.)

I particularly like the non-extensibility of the ring. That means you need to get more of them (or find a good jeweler to exchange the stones when necessary; there are a few "open" slots on there if you look at it right).

If all of your babies are born in July that means you have plenty of time to... in.... I see.

Nate, you are good. It is silver.

And the Husbandlet's birthday is in October, so ...
